
Karen White is Director of the Work and Family Programs at the Center for Women and Work at Rutgers University. Her area of work includes research on state policies and programs that assist working poor families achieve economic self-sufficiency, early care and education workforce, and outreach and education on the need for family leave insurance and paid sick days. She has worked for non-profit organizations doing research and development related to economic inequalities for the past 15 years. She is serves as a steward and co-chair of the legislative committee of the Union of Rutgers Administrators, AFT Local 1766.
